THE THREE PEAKS

Every idea feels like a climb.

That’s why the book is shaped around three peaks.

Inspire. Invent. Innovate.

Simple, clear, sequential yet completely intertwined.

Let’s Provide Some Clarity… The need for context

It’s important to be clear about your audience, so here’s mine. You might be a start-up founder, a sole trader, or running a growing SME. Or perhaps you’re just starting out, exploring how to turn an idea into something real.

It’s unlikely you’re a seasoned entrepreneur or a global business owner, who’s navigated more than a few peaks in your time. But if you are, I’m confident this book will still resonate.

Either way, you’re now part of a community of people who act, who see something worth doing and decide to do it. Such people inspire me every day.

After more than 30 years in corporate life, I eventually took the same leap. I only wish I’d done it sooner. It’s been challenging, yes, but also incredibly rewarding to meet and collaborate with people who are passionate about what they do, why they do it, and who they do it for. If that sounds like you, we’ll get on just fine. You’re my ideal client, as someone once told me, and they were right.

Scattered through the book you’ll find QR codes linking to my website incub8ideas.com.

There you can download supporting material, explore the tools referenced in the book, or reach out directly. I’ll happily give an hour of my time to explore your idea and what’s needed to bring it to life.

So, what does in³ stand for?

It’s my shorthand, my strive to keep everything simple and direct, the three fundamental exponents of Innovation. After all, you can’t write inspire, invent, innovate any shorter than that, can you?

The onus is now on me to explain it properly, so here goes...

Why 27 Insights?

Now twenty-seven may be an odd number, but it is surprisingly even and balanced, a reflection of how the innovation journey works.

The book is shaped around three peaks: Inspire, Invent and Innovate. Each peak stands alone, yet each one influences the others. When you view them as a connected system rather than sequential or linear, the structure becomes clear.

Three peaks, explored from three practical angles, naturally create twenty-seven points that matter. It is simply the power of three, cubed.

Each insight reflects a real moment that affects momentum: a decision, a behaviour or a shift in thinking that helps you map your own unique path.

Twenty-seven sets the foundation.

A solid base upon which to build.

Could you remove a few? Possibly.

Would the path still feel complete? Not quite.

Are there more? Certainly.

The Three Peaks...  Reaching the summit

Not every climber reaches the summit, but those who plan with clarity and move with purpose have a better chance, whatever the weather.

This book is built around three peaks that guide your journey and strengthen your belief that you can reach the top.

1.      Inspire... The mindset to begin

Clarity of purpose. Why the journey matters.

2.      Invent... The belief to make

Clarity of plan. What you will achieve.

3.      Innovate... The courage to deliver

Clarity of path. How you will get there.

Each peak prepares you for the next.

Each chapter helps you move further, faster and with more confidence.

Three peaks.

Twenty-seven principle
